MARCAS DEL TRANSCURRIR – MARKS OF THE PASSAGE (2024 – 2026)

Marcas del Transcurrir nace de mi interés por los distintos tiempos que habitamos: el lineal del reloj, que mide y ordena; el cíclico de la naturaleza, que regresa y se renueva; el subjetivo de la memoria, que se fragmenta y se reinventa; y el presente expandido que surge en la meditación.

La serie se sostiene en dos figuras que condensan estas temporalidades: los anillos de los árboles y la espiral.
Los anillos registran la vida de un ser vivo y la memoria del entorno que lo hizo crecer.
La espiral condensa movimiento y transformación, ciclos de nacimiento y retorno.

Marks of Passage arises from an interest in the different times we inhabit: the linear time of the clock, which measures and orders; the cyclical time of nature, which returns and renews itself; the subjective time of memory, which fragments and reinvents itself; and the expanded present that emerges in meditation.

The series is based on two figures that encapsulate these temporalities: tree rings and the spiral.
The rings record the life of a living being and the memory of the environment that nurtured its growth.
The spiral encapsulates movement and transformation, cycles of birth and return.
